Multi-Tasking in your Personal and Professional Life

dental practice

It’s all about multi-tasking, at least that’s what everyone tries to do, but does anybody ever really accomplish multi-tasking?

Although it’s almost been a couple of weeks, I still can’t believe what an exciting Super Bowl it was! I would love for technology to advance and be able to hear the thinking of the quarterbacks as the game was played. Was it, “Never give up?” or, “Relax, we have many more plays?”

I read one of the Patriots coaching mantras, which is make each play work well. The challenge is we do not know which play will make the difference. In the third quarter, I had given up for a tightly scored finish. Yet, the Patriots hung in there and made every single play count to win the game.

In our fast world today, lots of people like to claim they can truly multi-task. I wonder, even if you can, how effective is that technique. Was Brady focusing on every play, keeping his focus positive and not worrying about the game outcome?

How to keep your cool when the sports casters were all agreeing no team has ever come from behind at this point in a Super Bowl. I am sure Brady was aware of this, also. Yet, he hung in there, using his head when the game became about sacking the quarterback.

Never Give Up was demonstrated so well. Make Each Play Count was also shown so well. Final games should be close and this was one for the books. It was memorable!

Whether or not you are good at multi-tasking really isn’t the issue here. The issue is never giving up on your tasks whether you tackle one at a time, or try to do more than you should.
