Dental Marketing Company Contributes to the Tour de Cure

dental marketing

As a dental marketing company and dentists ourselves, we strive to give back to the community, especially when it comes to the American Diabetes Association.

According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), 25.8 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes (18.8 million are diagnosed and 7 million are undiagnosed).

Diabetes is a serious disease, and research has made fantastic discoveries and advancements to combat against this deadly condition. However, there is a lot of work that needs to be done.

Contributing to the Tour de Cure

Blatchford Solutions, experts when it comes to dental marketing, is proud to announce we jumped at the opportunity to give back to the community by donating to a team who participated in the Tour de Cure, a cycling fundraising event to help support the ADA’s research and to provide scholarships for diagnosed children to attend summer camp.

We are honored to be able to contribute to this cause. The team we donated to had 10 members who cycled for 35 miles. One of the teammates mentioned how this event was the ride of his life, and how it demonstrated life and its facing challenges.

“When I crossed the finish line, and they announced my name. My doctor said his eyes filled with tears, and he will never forget that moment. Neither will I.”

Diabetes’ Destructive Path

Wonderful events such as the Tour de Cure are the reason these advancements are happening, and we are so close to coming up with a cure.

Diabetes can impede your body’s ability to ward off disease and infection, which can lead to serious health complications:

  • Increased risk of heart disease and stroke
  • Kidney failure
  • Nerve issues
  • Limited sight
  • Even oral health issues

As a dentist, you are probably familiar with the oral-systemic link, which reveals the connection between the mouth and body. For diabetics, their oral health is at a higher risk. Because diabetes does not produce enough insulin to convert sugars into energy, diabetics are more likely to suffer from periodontitis and tooth loss. This can in turn complicate matters by making it even harder to control diabetes.

Take action now!

Donate to events dedicated to diabetes research. The Tour de Cure is a nationwide event, and may be happening in a city near you. This wonderful cause has raised over $18 million, and your donation can make a huge difference.

As one of the top dental marketing companies, we find every opportunity that we can to donate to incredible causes such as the Tour de Cure. Donate today!
